Funeral arrangements have been set for a former Miss America contestant who died earlier this week from a car crash on a wet New Jersey highway.
Cara McCollum was a native of Arkansas who won the Miss New Jersey pageant and was known for her public service, such as a program that presented books as birthday presents to first- and second-graders.
The 24-year-old McCollum died Monday of injuries suffered in a one-car crash the night of Feb. 15 on state Route 55 in Pittsgrove Township.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the McCollum family’s home in Forrest City, Arkansas.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Forrest City.
